Meet Clara – Sweet, Snuggly, and Occasionally... Operatic

Clara is the definition of a gentle soul. This lovely lady may be a bit older, middle age really... but that just means she comes with a calm, affectionate temperament and a love for all things cozy. Whether it’s curling up beside you or finding the softest spot in the house, Clara is always ready for a cuddle session.

She lives for mealtime—though she's watching her portions right now to get back to a healthier weight. She is working on her housetraining skills and is doing great using potty pads in a pinch and well-mannered, Clara is easy to have around… with one small, hilarious quirk:

Every now and then, Clara finds her voice—and when she does, it’s not a bark… it’s more of a high-pitched Shiba scream meets dramatic soprano. But don’t worry—it’s rare, and usually just her way of saying, “Hey, don’t forget me!” A little love and reassurance, and she’s right back to being your quiet cuddlebug.

Clara has been in foster care for a month and has only let out her “signature song” once for attention. Don’t let that diva moment fool you—she’s truly one of the best dogs you could ask for.
